Do you sometimes over estimate the amount of bread your house is going to eat? We’ve all been there. We know how much it hurts to let delicious food go to waste too, which is why we wanted to share one of our favorite tips for bread that’s gone a little too stale for your liking. Use our below instructions to turn your leftover stale Hi-Rise Bakery Concord Loaf into savory homemade garlic parmesan croutons.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Tear or slice the bread into 3/4 to 1″ pieces. Add the bread to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt, and top with some fresh cracked pepper.
Jazz it up a little more with some minced garlic and parmesan cheese and you’ve got yourself some super croutons.
Spread on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly toasted. Let cool before using.
Store extras in an airtight container.
Add these croutons to your favorite salad for a little extra crunch or give our butternut squash soup recipe a try and mix these in for added flavor. However you choose to enjoy them, we are certain they won’t disappoint.
